Company History

Formed in August 1993, MiRiCal Emblems Ltd was the brainchild of Richard Dul and Michael Sharrock – two emblem specialists with many years of industry experience behind them. From humble beginnings in rented factory units in Blidworth, Nottinghamshire; the Company has expanded beyond all recognition. Rapid growth of the business in the first few years prompted the Company to seek larger premises and a nearby redundant building was earmarked. The former ‘Blidworth Miners’ Welfare Concert Hall’ was purchased and renovated by the Company, opening for production in October 1998.

It is a well-known fact that MiRiCal Emblems’ products have a reputation for being highly durable and capable of withstanding repeated commercial laundering. The wide range of different products, as detailed on other pages on this website, means that MiRiCal can offer a product to suit almost any fabric, thus offering the unique characteristics of the MiRiCal production philosophy and a dramatic visual appeal.

The innovative nature of the products offered by MiRiCal Emblems Ltd is not just limited to the badging side of the business – MiRiCal also offer a unique dual-platen heat-sealing machine and have patented the innovative PRO-CON device used to dramatically improve the consistency of the heat-sealing process.

With a distributor network that covers the majority of Western Europe and having recently granted licensing agreements in North America, MiRiCal Emblems Ltd is a truly global player; yet nevertheless is able to demonstrate the local touch that our customers deserve.

The birth of the third millennium proved a time for change at MiRiCal Emblems Ltd and saw Richard Dul assume control of the Company following a buy-out of Michael Sharrock's shareholding. Three members of the management team also took up the invitation to acquire small stakes in the equity of MiRiCal Emblems Ltd, now a wholly owned subsidiary of a holding company - Reamtop Ltd. The personification of the hands-on manager, Richard Dul heads an experienced management team working hard to meet the needs of every customer, both large and small.

The Future

Innovation will continue to be the word most associated with MiRiCal Emblems Ltd, as much in the future as has been the case in the past. Further expansion into the North American market will see the MiRiCal product range available in the USA and Canada licensed through existing domestic manufacturers. Meanwhile, opportunities for joint-venture manufacturing in Europe and elsewhere are being actively pursued.

Yet none of this expansion will be detrimental to servicing our domestic market; currently the second largest emblem manufacturer in the workwear sector by market share, MiRiCal Emblems Ltd strives to become the UK number one.
